Groceries
Griffin's Groceries located in the center of town on Main Street has produce, meats and basic food supplies. If you have special dietary needs bring them with you. Hours are 9 am to 7 pm. Closed Sundays.
Gas / Auto Service
Only one option currently in town:
Cottom's 66 at 79 East Main Street. Gas, Convenience, & Subway Sandwiches.
24 hour credit card pumps.
Hours: 6:30 am - 10:00 pm Monday - Saturday • 9 am - 5 pm Sunday
Garage: 8:00 am - 5 pm Monday - Saturday
Restaurants
There are a few recommended places to eat:
• North Creek Grill is 5 miles west of Escalante at the Slot Canyon Inn. Carefully prepared food served in a beautiful outdoor setting. Highly recommended. Hours 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm Tuesday thru Saturday (Reservations only 435-826-4901).
• Cowboy Blues on the west side of town is a good restaurant, good food and a full bar.
• Circle D Restaurant & Bar on Main Street is a great place to enjoy an assorted menu, specializing in smoked meat dishes and bar.
• Escalante Outfitters on Main Street has a great assortment of pizza, salads and microbrews.

Utahcanyons Outdoor Store
The orange building on Southwest side of Main Street is the place to go for local knowledge. We carry a complete selection of guide books and maps (including waterproof customized topo's). We also feature photo, natural history and fiction titles.
Our gear is "desert tested". We know what works and what to bring for the season of your visit. Besides the basics, we have all the odd desert specific gear and some fun stuff like organic cotton t-shirts, womens and mens hiking clothes, great hats, unique cards and souvenir stickers.

There is a clinic open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays behind Griffin's Grocery. The nearest pharmacy and hospital are in Panguitch, about 70 miles away. Garfield County Search and Rescue has a unit here and Life Flight is available.
Bank / ATM
Wells Fargo on Main Street open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 3 pm. 24 hour ATM.
Cottom's Phillips Gas Station has an inside ATM during working hours.
