Escalante Rock Tours Grand Opening
Make Your Reservations Early!
Adventures Start - 7am to 5pm beginning in Mid-May (See departure dates below).
Price: $ 195.00 USD per person round trip (6 person maximum limit per trip).
Non-scheduled departure date (custom bookings): Minimum daily $ 450.00.
Deposit: 50% down or credit card # required to book a reservation. Credit card is charged in full on day of departure.
Cancellation Policy: $ 50.00 non-refundable deposit fee charged for cancellation 14 days before departure date.
Itinerary: 7am - Meeting Point & Introduction - Utahcanyons Coffee Hole for coffee and pastries.
8am - 10:30am - Departure 2.5 hour drive through the most spectacular desert country on earth.
10:30am - 2:30pm - Rock hunting, lunch, photography, hiking, contemplating or just hanging out in the desert.
2:30pm - 5pm - Return to Utahcanyons or Escalante Rock Shop.
Price includes: Coffee and pastry, boxed lunch, drinks, water, momento.
Requirements: Passion for rocks & fossils, geology, rock hunting, hiking, photography and/or desert solitude, good physical condition & health a must.
What you'll need to bring: Yourself, dressed for the desert - equipped with sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, good hiking shoes or boots, water bottle, day pack, gloves and rockpick/goggles (personal option). No pets or children under 12 years of age.
What we see and collect: Desert environment, landscapes and formations with petrified wood, jasper, agate, coprolite, ocean bottom fossils and ? (who knows what else). Its a Treasure Hunt out in the elements and a lot of fun. You can collect up to 25 lbs.
